We dare you to ask any other computer maker what their warranty stocking policy is. How would they expect to repair a system if they have not stocked mainboards explicitly for that purpose ? Remember this is the PC world where obsolete is measured in months, without foundation components a repair can become an extensive upgrade to achieve compatibility for the system's parts, then you can expect to re-install the OS (Operating System) with all the potential hassles that that may involve.
